NEW YORK, NY - Aug. 9, 2016 - Novele is elated to announce that Laurie Actman has joined the company’s Board of Advisors. Actman brings unique clean tech industry experience via her time helping to build a new smart grid software company, Viridity Energy, and through her experience leading the Consortium for Building Energy Innovation, a public-private partnership funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. Both efforts focused on creating new tools and technologies, including energy storage, that enabled buildings and cities to be more energy efficient and sustainable. Her career spans the civic, public and private sectors including a stint consulting to the former Mayor of Philadelphia, Michael Nutter, on energy and sustainability strategies.
“We are carefully positioning ourselves to be a leader by selecting an elite group of individuals who believe and understand our vision and can help us execute on different levels,” said AJ Glassberg, Novele’s CEO. “Laurie is a key piece to this puzzle and is uniquely positioned to help guide us through these exciting times ahead.”
“I believe that Novele has developed a bite-size and scalable solution for an enormous and complicated issue: climate change," said Actman. "I’m looking forward to working with AJ and the founding team to help make Novele’s solution available to cities and building owners of all sizes."
Novele designs, manufactures and sells revolutionary energy storage and control devices for buildings in ultra dense cities.
